- 2008 saw some of the WRPL's greatest matches and most controversial moments! We saw 3 men trade the WRPL World Championship around all year long. Chris captured the title a 3rd time while Will made two championship runs, then Vince McMahon rounded the year our with 3 title runs and finished the year with the longest reign in WRPL history still going! Without a doubt these three made the WRPL Title what it is today, the most prized possession in Fantasy Wrestling History!

- The WRPL Internet Championship saw some good action as Will, Rico, wyldflamez, misterCraig, and Vince McMahon all held the title at least once during the year. Rico's second title run added up to 148 days with 6 successful defenses making it the longest run of the year. Vince McMahon defeated misterCraig for the Internet Championship at Bound for Glory II which was the last event of the year so Vince also ended 2008 with the Internet Championship.

- The WRPL tag team division saw its ups and downs of the year, early in the year the WRPL Tag Titles were perhaps as prestigious as the World Title while Prediction Infliction (Bombstriker & Vince McMahon) were trading the title with misterCraig & EvanCrowley. Later in the year a surprise team known as The Cameltoes (TheRickDaddy & Macho Trashyman) emerged from no where and defeated the dominant Prediction Infliction only to lose the titles weeks later to PI. Prediction Infliction ended the year of 2008 with the Tag Team Titles and kept intact the longest title reign in history of 112 days.... and counting.

- A brand new title was created in May of 2008 for WRPL House Shows (CZW) only. The WRPL Ultraviolent Championship. The winner of the first Best of the Best Tournament would be crowned the first Ultraviolent Champion and wouldn't you know it misterCraig was just the man to do it! misterCraig dominated the WRPL House Show scene throughout the year holding the title for 126 total days until finally losing it to Ben Kerin in September! An announcement was soon made that the WRPL Ultraviolent Championship will now be defended on any show and that it wasn't just exclusive to house shows anymore. Ben Kerin ended the year with the title and one defense.

- WRPL jump started an MMA division and held several shows. A MMA Championship was created and Rico became the first champion early July but soon lost the title to MMA expert Macho Trashyman. Macho Trashyman ended the year with the title as well as the longest reign at 71 days.

- End of the Year Awards were handed out and here were the winners:
