- Or has the true journey just begun? Long time WRPL Superstar Super_Nova got another chance at the WRPL Internet Championship after falling just short of victory in the Elimination Chamber at Lockdown. IhasAshuvel and Super_Nova put on one great show at Backlash last night but in the end Super_Nova scored the pinfall victory over Shuvel to become the NEW WRPL Internet Champion! This couldn't have come any later for the veteran who has stuck with his career thirsting for gold. Now that his quest for gold has finally ended, can he stay on top of the world and hold onto that prized WRPL Title belt? Only time will tell. Super_Nova will not have to defend his title at WRPL Judgment Day but you better believe he will do his best to fend off his challenger come WRPL Sacrifice! Congrats to Super_Nova on obtaining his first ever WRPL Title.

- WRPL Lockdown was the host of the second annual Elimination Chamber! Super_Nova and Bonus Box started the match out in the ring and Nova made short work of BB by pinning him in under one minute! Next to enter the chamber was Ben Kerin who was hungry for gold after his disappointing loss at Wrestlemania II. Somewhat newcomer scsa1fan then entered to join the fray. Then WRPL 2008 Rookie of the Year, IhasAshuvel jumped into the match with a 3 point advantage. Then finally with the greatest advantage in the match, chappie21 entered the match with 4 points to his name.

- After the eliminations of chappie21, scsa1fan, and Ben Kerin it was down to just Super_Nova and IhasAshuvel. Both fighters had some glimpses of spot light in 2008 but now they have the whole world watching the two of them. Super_Nova was in from the start of the match and had a 0 point advantage. IhasAshuvel used his 3 point advantage to perfection as he landed the pinfall victory over Super_Nova by exactly 3 points! Some say IhasAshuvel stole the win and the WRPL Internet Championship but just because he in a great opportunist doesn't mean he is a cheater!

- After the match Super_Nova confronted IhasAshuvel during his celebration and the two went to blows as WRPL security ran out to separate the two. It was then announced that at WRPL Backlash IhasAshuvel will be defending his newly won title against Super_Nova!

- After some traveling issues WRPL's original main event was scrapped when the Internet Champion could not defend his title so WRPL Ultraviolent Champion Ben Kerin stepped up into the spotlight being the nice guy he is and said he would headline the biggest show of the year! Proven prospect IWARandy had no complaints either as he squared off to go toe to toe with the Champ!

- Near the end of this epic battle Ben Kerin had a clear advantage and it looked as if things were going to go his way but IWARandy caught Kerin and sent him through a flaming table! Kerin was instantly knocked unconscious and this allowed IWARandy ample time to make the cover on Ben Kerin and steal the championship from him in the very closing minutes of the matchup!

- After the match IWARandy was presented the WRPL Ultraviolent Championship and confetti fell from the rafters as he posed from the middle rope with his newly won title. Ben Kerin finally regained consciousness and crawled into the ring to meet the man that just defeated him. Both men met face to face and IWARandy nodded to Ben and extended his hand for a hand shake. Ben looked around the arena as they cheered for both competitors in their efforts tonight. Ben reached out and shook IWARandy's hand and the crowd lit up.

- Then suddenly Ben kicked IWARandy in the midsection, grabbed the title belt and smashed him in the face with it laying out the new champion! Totally uncharacteristic of the "Friendly" Ben Kerin. Kerin stood over IWARandy with a sick look on his face then dropped the title on his chest and made his way out of the ring and up the entrance ramp. Ben Kerin gave the WRPL fans a final middle finger salute before he exited to the backstage area. WRPL Wrestlemania II ended with the newly crowned Ultraviolent Champion laid out!
