- Or has the true journey just begun? Long time WRPL Superstar Super_Nova got another chance at the WRPL Internet Championship after falling just short of victory in the Elimination Chamber at Lockdown. IhasAshuvel and Super_Nova put on one great show at Backlash last night but in the end Super_Nova scored the pinfall victory over Shuvel to become the NEW WRPL Internet Champion! This couldn't have come any later for the veteran who has stuck with his career thirsting for gold. Now that his quest for gold has finally ended, can he stay on top of the world and hold onto that prized WRPL Title belt? Only time will tell. Super_Nova will not have to defend his title at WRPL Judgment Day but you better believe he will do his best to fend off his challenger come WRPL Sacrifice! Congrats to Super_Nova on obtaining his first ever WRPL Title.

- After some traveling issues WRPL's original main event was scrapped when the Internet Champion could not defend his title so WRPL Ultraviolent Champion Ben Kerin stepped up into the spotlight being the nice guy he is and said he would headline the biggest show of the year! Proven prospect IWARandy had no complaints either as he squared off to go toe to toe with the Champ!

- Near the end of this epic battle Ben Kerin had a clear advantage and it looked as if things were going to go his way but IWARandy caught Kerin and sent him through a flaming table! Kerin was instantly knocked unconscious and this allowed IWARandy ample time to make the cover on Ben Kerin and steal the championship from him in the very closing minutes of the matchup!

- After the match IWARandy was presented the WRPL Ultraviolent Championship and confetti fell from the rafters as he posed from the middle rope with his newly won title. Ben Kerin finally regained consciousness and crawled into the ring to meet the man that just defeated him. Both men met face to face and IWARandy nodded to Ben and extended his hand for a hand shake. Ben looked around the arena as they cheered for both competitors in their efforts tonight. Ben reached out and shook IWARandy's hand and the crowd lit up.

- Then suddenly Ben kicked IWARandy in the midsection, grabbed the title belt and smashed him in the face with it laying out the new champion! Totally uncharacteristic of the "Friendly" Ben Kerin. Kerin stood over IWARandy with a sick look on his face then dropped the title on his chest and made his way out of the ring and up the entrance ramp. Ben Kerin gave the WRPL fans a final middle finger salute before he exited to the backstage area. WRPL Wrestlemania II ended with the newly crowned Ultraviolent Champion laid out!

- EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY the WRPL will resume where we left off! I haven t told anyone about this yet to make it more of a big surprise kinda thing for Ben and everyone else! I hope that the WRPL will be welcomed back with open arms and we will become bigger and better than ever!!!

- First things first .. all WRPL title histories that were frozen on October 19th, 2008 they will be unfrozen March 1st, 2009! So all champions will have their title reigns picked back up where they left off.

- The MMA division has been wiped out of the WRPL. It will be too much of a burden to continue it at this point in time with several MMA shows popping up everywhere. So as for the WRPL MMA Championship that title is now defunct and Macho Trashy will be known as the last champion until further notice. Sorry for that.

- When you check out the WRPL site you will notice that EVERYTHING has been updated. All of the profiles have been caught up with records, stats, histories, and everything else being up to date where we left off.

- WRPL will be starting back with it s FIRST SHOW OF 2009 with WRPL Wrestlemania II on March 5th. We won t over any shows before that date. Also no announcements yet on any title fights or anything.

- Main Event of the Century!!! We have a triple threat match to end all matches and it will be taking place at WRPL Bound for Glory II. Both the WRPL World Championship and the WRPL Internet Championship will be on the line! There will only be 1 winner walking out with both title belts..... (If there is a tie it will go down to who put the most points on the main event, if that # is the same it will go down the match below that, and then if need be it will go down the card until a winner is determined. SOMEONE WILL WIN!!!)

- Vince McMahon the longest reigning WRPL Champion EVER will be defending his World Title against the brand new Internet Champion, misterCraig and the former two-time Internet Champion, Rico! Vince has taken down challenger after challenger including the surprise Money in the Bank cash in from his own tag partner Bombstriker! This man has done everything he has had to do to hold onto that championship but will he have enough to do it one more time!?! If Vince can pull it off he will not only hold the WRPL World Championship, the WRPL Tag Team Championships, but he will also be the holder of the WRPL Internet Championship! Something no one could have dreamed of doing....

- misterCraig is fresh off of a victory over the unbeatable Rico at WRPL No Mercy! This man has fought his way back into the main event scene and now has a chance to leave one of the WRPL's biggest shows a double champion! This will vault misterCraig into grandslam status meaning he has held every title in the WRPL! Since the Ultraviolent Championship has become a major title he can be the only man to claim that achievement! Will he crack under pressure or will he defy the odds and topple two of the WRPL's best competitors!?!

- Rico was on top of the WRPL as the Internet Champion. A title he has held since May, he has also defeated opponent after opponent to move his way up the ranks. Rico has the most points this year to date as well as the most points in the power rankings so he very well deserves his chance at glory!!! Rico can walk out of Bound for Glory II a 3-time Internet Champion and a World Champion, something that no one has ever done! Rico is among the most feared names in the WRPL and has done everything on his own to gain respect from the other competitors. This is his chance to solidify himself as the Wrestler of the Year, an award that him and Vince McMahon are so close in the running!

Each man has so much to gain..... who truly is Bound for Glory? We find out October 12th!
